My objective for this collection was to merge traditionally elegant silhouettes with elements of gore, creating a deliberately shocking and unsettling juxtaposition. I experimented with liquid latex to create diverse textures, complemented by elements like fake blood, special effects makeup, and intricate beading.
design process
For this collection, I chose a rich array of fabrics, including charmeuse, satin, organza, stretch sequin mesh, silk crepe de chine, and faux leather. My trims feature elastic, various glass beads, and bias binding. To achieve the open wound texture on the gown, I experimented with liquid latex and special effects makeup. Each piece was meticulously hand-sewn and custom-patterned to fit the precise measurements of each model.
